An abandoned fort like Garh Kundar is unlike any other.

One thing about it is that there are no obvious signs of vandalism on the walls.

Second, there has been no encroachment on its grounds, which is extremely unexpected given that the fort has no caretaker.

Third, it is spotless, lacking even bats that may have built a home in its deepest cracks.

How could a fort be in such a relative condition of preservation when it was forty kilometers away from the nearest town?

The fort is said to be haunted by the local goatherds, who never walk inside the fort themselves.

According to bardic custom, anyone who tries to spend a night inside disappears forever. Reading about the history of the fort was fascinating.
